About Mahendra Kumar Yadava
Mahendra Kumar Yadava, IFS is the Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, spearheading innovations in forestry, IT, and wildlife conservation. An officer of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) since 1989, he has dedicated over 30 years to championing technological advancements in forest management and environmental protection. His pioneering work in creating eco-sensitive zones, promoting Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), and leading IT projects such as the Assam State Wide Area Network (ASWAN) and the Tech City initiative has earned him national and international recognition.
